Exciting News!

Greetings, Lula Family!

Your children may have mentioned this, but I wanted to give you the offical information. My husband and I are very excited and blessed to be adopting four children from foster care next month! (Yes, four! ^_^) If all goes as planned, these siblings (Angelina, Deanna, Joshua, and Matthew) will finally be moving in to our home on Saturday, February 21, 2015. Since everything will be so very new to them and to us, I am planning to take "maternity" leave when they arrive so that I can focus some time on my children. Currently, I am planning to take about two weeks of leave, but the time will depend on their needs and how well they adjust to their new home.

During my absence, Margie Boyd will be substituting in my classroom. She is a wonderful, intelligent, loving (and well-loved!) individual whom I trust to make sure that your children continue to receive a top quality education.

During my absence, my focus will be on my family, so I will not be regularly checking email or checking in with the school. If you have any questions or concerns during this time, please feel free to contact the school or Ms. Boyd. You may continue to email me, but it may be some time before I am able to respond. (We'll have our hands pretty full with a 1 year old, 3 year old, 6 year old, and 8 year old until we get use to it!)
