Weekly Agenda for October 27-31, 2014
Weekly Homework: Students who work diligently in class will have time to work on their homework at school, but should always bring it home to show you each night before turning it in.
Read for 20 minutes and fill in book, total time, and parent signature on monthly agenda (Due on Friday)
Be sure to talk with your children about what they are reading! Better yet – read some with them!
Work on learning multiplication times tables each night
Students should be wearing bracelets home with the math facts they are to study that night. I suggest asking them the facts out of order (3x0, 3x5, 3x2….) so they aren't skip counting, but actually learning.
The goal is that students can provide the answer to their problems in any order without using their fingers.
Students should learn 1-3 times tables per week.
Complete Halloween Parade Reading & Writing Practice (due Friday)
Students will read a short fiction story about Laila’s school Halloween parade and answer questions. Students will write about how they would create their own homemade costume.
Complete Halloween Mystery Math (due Friday)
Students will complete three digit addition problems to figure out the hidden message.
Complete Add or Subtract Happy Halloween (due Friday)
Practice on Adapted Mind (adaptedmind.com) at least twice this week (Your child knows how to log in.)
