Halloween Reminders
Since Halloween occurs on a Friday, this year, I did want to offer a few reminders.
We are allowing students to dress us as a part of our Book Parade, but all costumes must be related to our class book, "A Bad Case of Stripes." (See the blog post for details.) One reason for this rule is to help us avoid costumes that might scare our younger students or be inappropriate / distracting for school.
Please avoid sending sugary candy to school. Trick-or-treaters will have plenty of sweets this weekend, and we want our students to have a good appetite and eat a healthy lunch on Friday - and every day. Not to mention the fact that a classroom of 22 suger-hyped 8 year olds would make for a way too scary Halloween. ^_^
Parents are welcome to come a watch our Book Parade on Friday morning! Each classroom will be displaying their amazing costumes for the school to see.
