Rocks rock!
We finally began our unit on rocks, fossils, and soils this week! Students were very excited and enjoyed the videos from our Links of the Week page (which are a GREAT overview of what we'll be learning). Today, students got to play with rocks hands-on and sort them according to their thoughts on some of the criteria we mentioned (color, luster, and crystals) and read a short story about the stones. Jameson even used his Rocks and Minerals book to lead his table in trying to identify the stones.
