Reading & Writing Stations
This week, student were able to self-rotate through several reading and writing stations to practice their skills and prepare to delve into new topics.
Tyler practice grammar with our Daily Grammar Practice questions. Our focus sentence this week was "Do otters spend most of their time in the water?". Can you identify the nouns, verb, adjective, pronoun, subject, predicate, and type of sentence?
After reading a section for a story, Dany is drawing a pictue that lets us look through a caracter's eyes.
Kaylee has just finished reading from her book and is sketching her picture that will let us see through the eyes of a character in her story.
Elvie has worked hard at sorting her weekly vocabulary words in preparation for our Friday test! Now, she's copying down her sort into her Words notebook.
This weeks Words tests were more difficult for students since it happened in one week instead of a week and a half like our first test. It's a good idea to spend a little time studying each night to prepare. New words will be given on Monday.

After finishing all of their stations, Rebekah and Ulissa found a comfortable spot to read some great Just Right books!
After finishing their work, Jameson, Devin, and Gunner decided to help straighten up the classroom supples. They weren't asked. They saw it needed to be done and did it on their own. Great way to be role models, guys!
