Writing Together
This week, we have been preparing to begin our Writing Workshop. Today's lesson focused on working with others to improve our writing. We discussed what good listeners do and how to focus on and help our writing partners. In the photographs below, you'll see students practicing being good partners and working to make their stories even better.
Dany and Maddox are doing a great job of sitting EEKK (elbow to elbow, knee to knee). Dany is doing a great job giving Maddox specific comments about his writing!
Josh is doing a great job of focusing on Tyler and reading along as Tyler shares his story.
Eli and Devin are doing a great job focusing on and listen to each other as they share and discuss their stories.
Ulissa's face definitely shows she's focused on listening to her partner, Kaylee. This pair even added an Author's Chair, allowing the person who was sharing to sit in the chair while the person who was helping listened intently from the floor.
Rebekah is doing a great job of focusing on Halle as Halle uses her pencil to point out a comment Rebekah made about her work.
