Unit 2 Assessment Task 2 is due TOMORROW!

Students were given the task below on Monday. As a class, we completed the steps of reading, outlining, writing, editing, and creating a final draft. The final draft is due today at the end of class.

Read “Mother to Son”. Then read “Malala Wins Nobel Peace Prize”. Write an informational/explanatory essay that explains how both pieces support the central idea that “overcoming obstacles is possible”. Support your answer using information (textual evidence) from the passages. Make sure to use information from both texts.
