WHAT: Identification Badges

WHO: All South Hall Middle School students

WHY: For efficient check-ins/outs, cafeteria transactions, and media center checkouts.

WHEN TO WEAR: At all times on campus and at school-sponsored events (like field trips)

Keep badge clean and visible

Keep badge in book bag or purse when not wearing

Buy your own lanyard if you’d like (must be appropriate for school)

DO NOT...

Alter the badge (no drawing, adding a different picture, etc.)

Lose it! If you do:

• $5 cash replacement cost to HR teacher

• See procedure for replacement below****

Lose privileges like not being able to attend dances or other special events, having to be at the back of your lunch line, etc. by losing your badge!

Badge Replacement Process

1) Students will fill out forms in homeroom and give the homeroom teacher the $5.00 CASH. Teachers will NOT have change to give, so please bring correct change.

2) Badges will be reprinted and returned to homeroom the next day (unforeseen circumstances permitting).

Students and Parents,

This badge should last until high school. We will collect them on the last day of school for the next year. You may update yours if you like by paying $5.00.

Please work together on a plan to ensure that the ID badge is kept in the back pack when not being worn so that no cost will be incurred by the family or loss of privileges for the student. Our intent is for the badge to assist us in increasing classroom time for students by improving our procedures.
